Conservation and restoration for museums and collections
Proyecto Museo undertakes conservation and restoration work for museums and collections throughout Mexico through its own personnel and specialist collaborators selected according to the nature of each cultural object.
Cultural property and specialties
The service covers easel and mural painting, works on paper and books, decorative arts, furniture and musical instruments. Each intervention is defined through assessment of the object’s material condition, conservation objectives and the conditions of display or storage.
Methodology and documentation
Work may include preventive conservation, stabilization, cleaning, reintegration and comprehensive restoration as appropriate. Assessment and conservation records are prepared and, when applicable, written conservation-restoration projects are developed on the basis of research and methodology. Work may be carried out on site or in the workshop.
Team and experience
Proyecto Museo works with its own personnel and specialized, certified collaborators according to discipline. Projects associated with this service include the Museo Regional de Tepeaca, the museums of La Constancia Mexicana, Casa del Títere, and Casa de Alfeñique.
